Ayurvedic Body Work: Abhyanga Level 1

March 28 - April 1, 2022

This course is a dedicated training in the Ayurvedic massage practice known as Abhyanga.  Abhyanga involves massage of the entire body from the head to the toe with ailment or constitution-specific warm herb-infused oil.  This practice is intended to open up the channels and vessels of the body, remove toxins through the skin, and cleanse and moisturize the skin.

Led by practitioners from the Ayurvedic Institute, including guest lectures from the world-renowned Ayurvedic practitioner and founder of the Ayurvedic Institute - Vasant Lad (BAM&S, MASc).

This course is designed to educate the student on the theory and practice of ayurvedic body work. The course will have a lecture and lab component - divided by sections of the body. The course also includes an introduction to Ayurveda and Marma Therapy.

Please note, this 5-day training and instruction will be in-person at our school premises in Albuquerque, New Mexico - no online option is available for this course, unfortunately.

The daily training schedule will run from 8:30am - 5:00pm MST (with breaks).
