Join us for several Continuing Education (CE) credit options for healers, bodyworkers or instructors who would like to extend their studies with us. All of our Continuing Education credits are approved by the New Mexico Massage Board. Often these credits are transferable, so we encourage interested students to contact their local board to confirm if these credits can be used toward your continuing education requirements.

Ayurvedic Body Work: Abhyanga Level 1
March 28 - April 1, 2022
​
This course is a dedicated training in the Ayurvedic massage practice known as Abhyanga. Abhyanga involves massage of the entire body from the head to the toe with ailment or constitution-specific warm herb-infused oil. This practice is intended to open up the channels and vessels of the body, remove toxins through the skin, and cleanse and moisturize the skin.

Led by practitioners from the Ayurvedic Institute, including guest lectures from the world-renowned Ayurvedic practitioner and founder of the Ayurvedic Institute - Vasant Lad (BAM&S, MASc).
​
This course is designed to educate the student on the theory and practice of ayurvedic body work. The course will have a lecture and lab component - divided by sections of the body. The course also includes an introduction to Ayurveda and Marma Therapy.

Please note, this 5-day training and instruction will be in-person at our school premises in Albuquerque, New Mexico - no online option is available for this course, unfortunately.
​
The daily training schedule will run from 8:30am - 5:00pm MST (with breaks).
​
Please Note: This class is open to anyone interested in learning Abhyanga - not just Licensed Massage Therapists. However, a basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology is required.

A basic understanding of anatomy and physiology + anatomical landmarks is required for this course.

Current New Mexico Massage Therapy License is recommended, but not necessary.

Provisions for make-up work:
If a student is absent from a class or partial class session, he or she must schedule a private session with an instructor to make up the class. The student will be charged at an hourly rate for the instructor’s time. The student will only receive continuing education credit hours for the class sessions he or she was present in.
Evaluation:
In order for a student to successfully complete this course he or she must attend and participate in all class sessions (or complete make-ups for missed classes). Students must also participate in the practicum during day 5 and demonstrate proficiency in all course objectives.

For those looking to deepen, refresh, or update their understanding of the ethics involved in practicing massage as an Licensed Massage Therapist we have Boundaries and Ethics for Massage Therapist.
This class will offer insight into the boundaries and ethics that will help any Licensed Massage Therapist navigate the waters of a professional practice. This training focuses on appropriate ethics and boundaries in relationships with clients in everyday practice, with practical scenario discussions and exercises.
