Introduction to Ayurveda and Massage

Course Description

This course is designed as a brief introduction to Ayurveda and its traditional use of massage. It includes a brief introduction of Ayurveda, doshas, marma therapy, and abhyanga massage. This course also includes an Ayurvedic warm oil massage routine (abhyanga) for the head, neck, and shoulders. This is a great course for massage therapists interested in studying Ayurveda. After completing this course you will take away the following skills: - A foundational knowledge of Ayurveda. - An introduction to Marma therapy. - A brief, but luxurious Ayurvedic warm oil massage routine for the head, neck and shoulders that you can incorporate into any treatment. Please note, this 1-day training and instruction will be in-person at our school premises in Albuquerque, New Mexico - no online option is available for this course, unfortunately. This class is: ✅ LIVE ✅ In-person at our school location in Albuquerque, New Mexico CE CREDITS: 8 hours INSTRUCTOR: Julia Apodaca PREREQUISITES: LMT License? Not required REQUIREMENTS: Experience in bodywork and/or Ayurveda recommended. Basic understanding of Anatomy a must.
