Thai Massage - 12 day Immersion

Course Description

This immersion is designed to prepare massage therapists for professional practice of Traditional Thai Massage. More than a "modality," Thai massage presents an expansive paradigm for professional massage therapists to work with efficiently and effectively. The course will methodically teach traditional techniques and methods for the entire body, with daily introduction of new techniques, deep dive in relevant anatomy, with daily full sequence practices designed to prepare students to confidently, independently and safely give complete 60 or 90 minute Thai massage in a professional environment. The course also will include a deeper exploration of the cultural context of Thai massage, incorporating preparation and use of traditional Thai herbal massage treatments, and the study and practice of Thai massage as a living, breathing Buddhist medicine tradition. Students who complete the course will receive Thai Massage Professional Level 1 Certificate indicating a total of up to 120 hours of professional Thai massage training, as well as New Mexico continuing education credits.
