Course Description

Final NMT Intensive: A Clinical Sign-off Series Instructor: Michelle Shaw, MA, LMT, NMT | 24 CEUs Total Resolve your clients' most stubborn pain patterns with this final NMT series hosted by Michelle Shaw. Distilling 28 years of clinical expertise into three intensive Saturdays, this series is designed to provide the specific "pearls" of wisdom that only decades of practice can provide. Choose to attend the full 24-hour transformation or select the specific 8-hour module your practice needs most: May 30 | The Upper Cross: Targeted protocols for the Neck, Jaw, and Shoulder. June 20 | The Hip and Low Back: Deep dive into the Low Back, Hip, and SI Joint. This session addresses the structural imbalances of the lumbo-pelvic-hip complex that often manifest as chronic lower back pain. We will focus on the relationship between the psoas and quadriceps and their influence on pelvic tilt, while applying targeted protocols for the tensor fasciae latae (TFL) and the sacrotuberous ligament to support SI joint stability. The course also includes a specific focus on the deep gluteal layers—specifically the gluteus medius and minimus, as well as the deep rotators like the obturators and gemelli. By addressing these key stabilizers, therapists can help alleviate sciatic nerve compression and restore functional movement to the lower spine and hips. July 25 | The Foundation: Functional release for the Lower Leg, Foot, and Ankle. This is Michelle’s final series at NMSM before she retires from massage instruction to begin her residency at Wilson Middle School this August. Whether you are a new graduate or a seasoned therapist, don't miss this final opportunity to study the "Shaw Method" of Neuromuscular Therapy before she hangs up her holster for the classroom. Investment: $249 for 1 class $449 for 2 classes** $649 for 3 classes** **To enroll in multiple classes, please register and pay for one class now. Then, email n.carnevale@nmschoolofmassage.com with the additional dates you'd like to attend, and an invoice for the remaining balance will be sent to you.
