Why would I want to see a Professional Massage Therapist before a Student Practitioner?
Our Massage Therapists are fully licensed with more hands-on experience. They offer more flexibility - with year round availability and you are able to build a relationship with your Massage Therapist for longer-term care.
Our Professional Massage Therapists can offer additional specialized services, including:
Abhyanga Ayurvedic Massage
Abhyanga is an Ayurvedic warm oil massage that involves anointing the body in healing oils - where the entire body is oleated, including the scalp and feet.
Regular practice of Abhyanga massage promotes overall health and wellbeing by:
Loosening deep seated metabolic waste materials
Bringing elasticity to the body tissues
Promoting flexibility in the joints, coordination, and a general sense of well being
Bringing aggravated Doshas back to balance
Cleansing and moisturizing the skin
Please Note: wear old clothes as they will likely become oily after redressing. You may bring a towel or turban to wrap oily hair.
Marma Therapy is a gentle, traditional Ayurvedic therapy that uses pressure and massage on specific energy points located throughout the surface of the body.
Applied Marma Therapy can have incredible benefits, such as:
Calming the mind
Rejuvenating and balancing the body
Clears emotional blockages
Increases energy level
Improves digestion, assimilation, and elimination
Encourages deep, revitalizing sleep
Increases circulation to the skin
Facilitates the experience of deep peace
Marma Therapy is commonly believed to have been the foundation for later point therapies such as acupuncture, acupressure, and reflexology.
Please Note: Marma Point Therapy can be applied fully clothed
Craniosacral Therapy (CST)
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, noninvasive form of massage that addresses the bones and muscles of the head, spinal column, and sacrum. This is a deeply relaxing, therapeutic treatment.
Craniosacral Therapy can help to improve the functioning of the nervous system, relieving pain and improving mobility - and has been used to treat or help alleviate a variety of conditions, both physical and psychological, including:
- Migraines and Headaches
- Neck and Back Pain
- Stress and Tension
- Motor-Coordination Impairments
- Chronic Fatigue
- TMJ Syndrome
- Central Nervous System Disorders
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Orthopedic Problems
Only our Professional Massage Therapists are able to offer these specialized services - to book any of these treatments please select those options when making your appointment.
The Many Benefits of Massage
Massage is an integrated form of treatment, meaning wellness and health are promoted throughout the human body and mind when undergoing massage treatments. As such these practices are increasingly being offered for a wide range of medical conditions and situations.
Massage benefits can include:
Reducing stress and increasing relaxation
Reducing pain and muscle soreness and tension
Improving circulation, energy, and alertness
Lowering heart rate and blood pressure
Improving immune function
Come try massage and experience the mental, emotional, and physical benefits for yourself. While taking 50-minutes to relax your mind and body!
Student Practitioners are available Friday and Saturday from 8am-5pm (while school is in session)
